Tsinghua University is a major institution for nurturing talent and scientific research. It has situated in north-west part of Beijing and surrounded by number of historical sites. The university was founded in 1911 and formerly known as Tsinghua Xuetang. It becomes most reputed university now in China, offers ranges of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs.

It has approximate 4000 faculty members, in which 1172 full time professors and 1,061 associate professors. There are also 36 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 32 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering amongst these faculty members. Over 28000 graduates and undergraduates students are studying at tsinghua university. There are 228 doctoral degree programs and 249 master degree programs are offered by graduate school. The university also enrolls 2400 students from 103 countries annually.
The campuses of tsinghua university have spread over 406 hectares which provides accommodation facility to all full time students. Research and learning facilities of the university covers 7 well structured libraries, 6 public teaching houses, 155 renowned research institutions and numerous schools of department houses. The university also has provided facilities such as dormitory buildings, books, banks, post offices, sport centers, restaurants, hospital, common hall and outdoor and indoor swimming pools which help students in recreation or safety.
